Victoria wearing bridal gown Daphne from Wendy Makin’s Couture Collection.Read More
A summer wedding at The Carriage Hall in Plumtree for our lovely bride Antoinette and Alex (who looked very smart in his kilt!) was everything it should be.
It was a beautifully sunny summer's day. Antoinette wore the Irene gown from Wendy Makin, a classically stylish wedding dress, that is relaxed and easy to wear.
We're very excited to be holding our first ever pop up sale at the Carriage Hall on Sunday 2nd July.
We will be bringing along three rails of gorgeous dresses at knock-down prices, plus a collection of accessories too!
Changing rooms will be available for trying on. It will be a mini version of our boutique, for one day only!
Doors open at 11am till 2pm.
Hannah and Chris got married at Brecon Cathedral on the 7th April and had a wonderful day. A very special part of their wedding was that Chris' dad conducted the service.
Hannah found her dress on our sale rail! It suited her perfectly and with the addition of a veil from Richard Designs and a sparkly belt from Windsor Bridal Jewellery, the look was complete. The dress was Joceline from the French Collection.
Our Spring Sale 2018 was a hit. It finished on May 12th....sorry!
We have added new dresses to our sale rail, many not shown on our Sale Locker page.
Why not pop in and see what we can do for you., we'd love to see you!
This is one of the most exciting wedding fairs of the year. The Pop up Wedding Village at Calke Abbey is a fabulously relaxed fair full of lovely wedding suppliers, like us!
There's plenty for everybody: food to go, bars for a cooling drink, entertainment, cakes, among lots of other things, and dresses...of course.
Go to www.savethedatemagazine.co.uk to find out more.
Designer days are always a great way to see the very latest designs, even those that are not yet in the shops!
This is a must from The French Collection and with 10% off all orders on the new range it can be a real steal. Come and enjoy a glass of bubbly with us and the Wendy Makin specialist too.
Appointments are needed and are available from 9am - 5pm.
This will be our first wedding fair of 2018 and we have chosen one of our favourite venues to meet new brides and their partners.
The Carriage Hall has the wonderful new lodges in the grounds for some cosy, boho accommodation. We love it's relaxed atmosphere and great food. Always a bonus!
Sarah and Rob had a fabulous day at The Pumping House, Ollerton, as their photos show! It was a relaxed, small affair full of fun and laughter.
Sarah wore the Georgia dress from Watters in champagne and ivory. She teamed it up with a chapel length veil from Richard Designs and a snug faux fur shrug to keep out the October chill.

Sophie and Jason had a small and very happy wedding at East Lodge Hotel in the Derbyshire Peak district.
Sophie had come to us looking for an easy to wear dress that she would feel relaxed in. Something that would suit her style and character. And we had one just for her, hanging on our sale rail!
The clever design of Sophie's Linea Raffaelli dress was partly down to it's detachable outer skirt. Like a veil, tulle trimmed with lace, the outer skirt could be removed making the elegant column style dress beneath perfect for a fun celebration.
The open back and Belgian lace gave the dress a modern twist too.

We had to pick the sublime Lexi dress from Wendy Makin's Couture Collection for our winter special.
She has a very simple and elegant line that just sings with something special in the hand-beaded and highly jewelled bodice. The diamante gems are threaded over sheer tulle and the back appears as if the jewels are shimmering on bare skin.
The soft skirt is made of layers of ivory silk tulle over super slinky silk satin beneath.
Not just a great dress for the wow factor but also for sheer comfort.
Lexi is made to measure too, ensuring a perfect fit.
Harriet and Ash were married in Lincolnshire in lovely autumn sunshine.
It was a relaxed wedding set in open fields and a barn, and Harriet's choice of dress from Watters fitted not just her, but the setting perfectly!
We haven't been to the amazing Belvoir Castle wedding fair for over a year, so we thought that it was about time that we returned.
The beautiful surroundings and opulent interiors make Belvoir Castle a very special wedding venue. Our brides who get married there love the splendour and the grandeur.
Belvoir Castle is an extra-special place not only to get married in but just for a visit!
Doors Open at 11am till 2pm
We will be back at one of our favourite venues for their last wedding fair of the year. The Carriage Hall in Plumtree, Nottinghamshire is always a great place to be. They are renowned for their good food and service plus great style too.
